The barter system was an old way to exchange goods in place of money. In the Middle Ages, Europeans traveled around the world and exchange crafts and other materials. The barter system has its disadvantages, it was quite difficult to carry goods from one place to another, and the value of the goods was not priced well. Silk Road also played an important role in bringing money in use, small silver coins were brought to use.
