3*3 = 9 < the closet you can get to 11 with multiples of 3
11 - 9 = 2 < remainder
so
3 2/3
< keep 3 as the denominator

you have to see how many times 3 can go into 11...... which is 3 because 3x3 is 9.... then you start from 9 and add up until you get to 11....... which is 2....... then you use 3 for the denominator. So your answer would be 3 and 2/3
