There are 36 boys on the team

Let b represent boys

2b + 5 = 77
77 - 5 = 62
62 รท 2 = 36

So all you have to do is subtract the variable (5) then divide that by 2 and you get your answer.

36, the equation to find how many boys there are is 2x+5=77. First you subtract the five, therefore 2x=72. Then you divide the two and X=36
