Explanation:

Lets open the brackets.


6 {x}^(2) - 12x + x - 2 = 0

Now lets factorise it.


= > 6 {x}^(2) - 12x + x - 2 = 0


= > 6x(x - 2) + 1(x - 2) = 0


= > (x - 2)(6x + 1) = 0

Here x will have two values.

1)
x - 2 = 0


= > x = 2

2)
6x + 1 = 0


= > 6x = - 1


= > x = ( - 1)/(6)
