Thus, you must multiply out 3(-x + 3). Correct result: -3x + 9.
Then you have 14 + 5x = -3x + 9 - 11
Group all x terms on the left side of your equation. To do this here, add 3x to both sides. Similarly, group all of the constants on the right side. To do this, subtract 14 from both sides.
Simplify your result.
