$8.75 you just divide 5 by four and you get 1.25 and add up however much you need.

Hope this helps. :)

Answer:

cost of 7 muffins is $8.75

Explanation:

Unit rate defined as the rates are expressed as the quantity 1 such as 2 miles per hour or 4 meter per seconds.

As per the given statement:

Jacob buys four muffins for $5.00.

then;

\text{Unit rate per muffins} = \frac{\text{Total Cost}}{\text{Number of muffins}}

Substitute the given values we have;

\text{Unit rate per muffins} = (5)/(4) = \$1.25

We have to find the cost of 7 muffins:

By definition of unit rate;

\text{total Cost of 7 muffins} = \text{unit rate per muffins} * 7

Substitute the given values we have;

\text{total Cost of 7 muffins} = 1.25 * 7 = \$8.75

Therefore, cost of 7 muffins is $8.75
