Martina estimates that the lateral surface area of a rectangular prism with the length of 13.2 feet, a width of 6 feet, and a height of 8 feet is about 304 square feet. is her estimate reasonable? explain your reasoning.

To determine the lateral surface area of the rectangular prism, the equation would be,
Lateral area = 2 x (HxL + HxW)
where H is height, L is length, and W is width. Substituting,
lateral area = 2 x (8x13.2 + 8x6) = 307.2 ft²
Martina's estimation is quite near to the calculated value which means that her estimation should have been really reasonable.
