3x^2 − 16x + 2 = 0

Part A: Describe the solution(s) to the equation by just determining the radicand.

a = 3 b = -16 and c = 2
the radicand would be
sq root (b^2 -4*a*c) =
sq root (256 -4*3*2) =
sq root (232)
So the roots will be real and not complex.
