In the coordinate plane, what is the length of the line segment that connects points at (0, −1) and (−7, −2) ?

Round to the nearest hundredth.

distance formula!!!!! yay i've done this umpth manytimes today for people so if you dont know distance formula is square root of (x1-x2)^2+ (y1+y2)^2.
0-(-7) -1-(-2)
7^2 + 1^2
49+1
sqr. root of 50
appx. 7.07 or the closest to it

Distance = √(y2-y1)² + (x2-x1)²
d = √(-1+2)² + (0+7)²
d = √1² + 7²
d = √1+49
d = √50

In short, Your Answer would be √50 or 7.07 units
