Ed earns about 8 dollars per hour helping out neighbors. Write an equation to show how many hours she needs to work and earn 86 dollars.

8x = 86. Just put in the number of hours for x. For example, if Ed works 24 hours do this: 8(24) = 86, and multiply 8 by 24, you will see if 24 hours is enough to earn 86 dollars.
