Ok percent error is abs(calculated-actual)/actual(100%)

So 1.5/96 *100%

Answer:

The percentage error is 1.56 %.

Explanation:

To calculate the percentage error, we use the equation:

\%\text{ error}=\frac{|\text{Experimental value - Accepted value}|}{\text{Accepted value}}* 100

We are given:

Experimental value of an average = 97.5

Accepted value of an average = 96

Putting values in above equation, we get:

\%\text{ error}=(|97.5-96|)/(96)* 100\\\\\%\text{ error}=1.56\%

Hence, the percentage error in our calculation is 1.56 %.
