What is differene between a heat conductor and a heat insulator give an example of each

Heat conductor is when something doesn't conceal the heat like if you stir boiling water then a metal spoon will get hot and burn your hand but a wooden spoon is an insulator and that means it traps heat so it wouldn't burn your hand

Metal is a good thermal conductor, while plastic is a poor thermal conductor. An insulator is a material that does not allow a transfer of electricity or energy. Materials that are poor thermal conductors can also be described as being good thermal insulators. A conductor provides this energy which in this case, is heat.
