I'm going to assume you know SOA, CAH, TOA
Looking at angle 71 with hypotenus x and adjacent side 12
-----> We can use CAH
cos(ANGLE) = adjacent/hypotenus
cos(ANGLE) = adjacent/x
x= adjacent/cos(ANGLE)
= 12/cos71
= 36.859
