Answer: A. 41.7%

Explanation:

Let V denote the event of students play volley ball and B denote the event students play Basketball.

Given : The probability of students play volleyball P(V)= 12% = 0.12

The probability of students play volleyball and basketball P(V∩B)= 5% = 0.05

Now, the probability that a student plays basketball given that he or she plays volleyball is given by :-

\text{P(BlV)}=(P(V\cap B))/(P(V))\\\\=(0.05)/(0.12)=0.416666666667\approx0.417

In percent,

\text{P(B l V)}=0.417*100=41.7\%
