A) 2x+7y=15
B) 7x+y=-18
Multiplying B by -7
B) -49x -7y = 126 then adding it to equation A
A) 2x + 7y = 15
-47x = 141
x = -3
B) 7*-3+y=-18
y = -18 +21 = 3

FIRST EQUATION:
-5x + 2y = - 2
-5*(13/6) + 2*(53/12) = -2
-65/6 + 106/12 = -2
-130/12 + 106/12 = -2
-24/12 = -2
-2 = -2
Check!
.
SECOND EQUATION
-7x - 2y = -24
-7(13/6) - 2(53/12) = -24
-91/6 - 106/12 = -24
-182/12 - 106/12 = -24
-288/12 = -24
-24 = -24
