• The water that is behind he dam is collected into a pipe which is known as penstock.
• The water then is pushed against the blades of the turbine, instead of using the steam for rotating the turbine, water is used for the rotation of turbines.
• The moving turbines converts the kinetic energy of water into the rotating energy and then it turns on a generator by the help of the turbine.
• The electricity produced then travels over long distance to home, schools, et cetera.
