moles are mass/Mr
or Concentrate × Volume in order to find the mole of CaO u need to find the mole of CO2 and take it away from CaCO3

Answer:

0.248 moles of CaO are produced.

Step-by-step explanation:

CaCO_3\overset{\Delta }\rightarrow CaO+CO_2

Moles of calcium carbonate = 0.248 moles

According to reaction, 1 mole of calcium carbonate gives 1 mole of calcium oxide and 1 mole of carbon dioxide.

Then 0.248 moles of calcium carbonate will give:

(1)/(1)* 0.248 mol=0.248 mol of calcium oxide

0.248 moles of CaO are produced.
