-for # 1 I would add 9 to both sides to get 16 so m = 1
for # 2 I would subtract 19 -3 to get 16. -3=-19 + 16

1. First add 9 to both sides, then divide by negative 16. M= -1
2. I don't know what's being added to -19, i'm assuming it's X. just add 19 to both sides you'll get that X=16
