I'm pretty bad with this type of math please help

This type of math is algebra.

First, subtract thirteen from both sides to get 3p by itself

3p = 24

Divide by 3

p = 8

So, p = 8

Lets check here.

3(8) + 13 = 37

24 + 13 = 37

37 = 37
