What's the slope of the line Y+1=3(X+4)

First you distribute the 3 into the parentheses and you get 3x + 12, then you subtract the 1 from both sides and you get y=3x + 11.

The slope formula is y=mx+b, and m equals the slope.

The answer is 3, or 3/1.
