10(x - 5) = -80 i don't understand math that well lol

All you have to do is multiply 10 by x and -5. So 10x+-50= -80. Then you add 50 to -80 to get 10x= -30. Then divide -30 and 10. The answer gives you x= -3

10x-50=-80
+50 +50
10x=-30
/10 /10

x=-3
