The fundamental sequence of events in mitosis is the same as in meiosis (inmeiosis it happens twice). Both processes include the breakdown of the nuclear membrane, the separation of genetic material into two groups, followed by cell division and the reformation of the nuclear membrane in each cells.

Answer:

The main similarities between mitosis and meiosis are that they both constituted types of cell division. Also, both follow chromosomes duplication, and require them to line up in the center of the cell. Lastly, they use same stages for cell division as: prophase, metaphase, anaphase and telophase.
