Answer:

American identity is fluid and has been changing ove time due to cultural diversity.

Step-by-step explanation:

Besides the oral and written contributions of Native Americans, the truth is that all American literature is multicultural, multiethnic and multiracial, also comming from immigrants. Books of extraordinary diversity have been included in the curricula of american universities and secondary schools since the 19th century. Most Americans, regardless of their ethnic or immigrant background, share a complex view of the norms that constitute American identity. This increased richness in literature provides a multiple traditions perspective, an increasingly multicultural America that will engender a multicreedal America.

I hope I will be able to help you with this question.

For me, cultural diversity determines a country's identity. It gives color and substance to what a country is made of and what its people embody. This applies to the works of the people in society like literature. The American identity is fluid over time since it depends on technology and the latest trends. People have to adapt. However, some deep roots would still remain as it is.

Cultural identity is the sense of belonging and the country's perception as evidenced by its religion, ethnicity and social class.
