Explanation:

2+5(x+3)-3(x-4)=x+2(2x+4)

2+5x+15-3x+12=2(2x+4)

Add the Numbers

2+5x-3x=2(2x+4)

Combine Like Terms, Then you can rearrange the terms for simplification. You should end up with an exation looking like this:

2x+29=5x+8

Subtract 29 from both sides. Simplify, then subtract 5x from both sides.
2x-5x=5x-21-5x
Simplify, then Divide both sides by the same factor. Simplify once more then you should have
x=7
