Answer : Potential energy is found in the pendulum when it is hold high and taut, as soon as it is released from this position; slowly the potential energy stored in this pendulum decreased which increases the kinetic energy of the pendulum in motion. When the arc of the pendulum reaches to the bottom the potential energy becomes zero and kinetic energy is supposed to be maximum at this point. After moving from the bottom of arc position to the higher position, kinetic energy is found to decrease and as a result potential energy starts to increase. The potential energy of the pendulum is observed to be maximum when it again reaches to the top, and here kinetic energy is zero.
