Let's write one integer as X and the other one as Y
Now we have:
X+Y=96
X=2Y-27

2Y-27+Y=96 X=2Y-27
3Y=123 X=2x41-27=82-27
Y=41 X=55

Let x and y be the two integers.
x + y = 96
x = 2y - 27
Use Substitution:
(2y -27) + y = 96
3y - 27 = 96
3y = 123
y = 41

plug in
x = 2(41)-27
x = 55
