Symbiosis is a close relationship between two species in which at least one species benefits. Normally the relationship is supposed to benefit both species. A simple example is coral and algae. Mutualism, as the name suggests, is a symbiotic relationship where both species benefit for example oxpeckers eat parasites on rhinos and zebras hence the birds get food and the animals get pest control. Commensalism, on the other hand, is a symbiotic relationship where one species benefits while the other derives neither benefit nor harm for instance tree frogs on plants.
