Call me crazy, but aren't you supposed to divide the denominator and numerator by the same number..? In this case, that number being 3......? Oh no, wait.... I need to help with the problem first I think...
Ok so first off, look at the two denominators. 13 and 1. In order to get from 13 to 1, you need to divide by 13 (13 ÷ 13 = 1). Secondly, you need to do to the numerator what you did the denominator, divide by 13.... Which is what you need help with... Right, sorry.
Anyway, you can use a calculator to do the math for you (45.5 ÷ 13 = 3.5), or you can do it yourself. You just need to divide it how you would a regular number. You'll just need to put the decimal in the answer where it is in the other number.
} I hope this helped! {
