First you have to simplify both sides of the equation.
7k−21
=
3k
−5
Then you subtract 3k from both sides.
7k
−21
−
3k
=
3k
−5
−
3k
4k
−21
=
−5
Then you Add 21 to both sides.
4k
−21
+21
=
−5
+21
4k
=16
And lastly Divide both sides by
4.
4k
4
=
164
k=
4
Your answer is : k = 4
