What is 8/9 as a decimal rounded to 3 decimal places

8/9 is the same as 0.8 recurring
0.8 recurring is 0.888888888888…… (it never ends)

to 3dp, it’s 0.88?
the next value is either 8 or 9 but because the value after that is 8 (which is more than 5), the 8 increases to a 9
