Hello!

We know that any given percentage can be expressed as a fraction with a denominator of 100, as follows:

(x)/(100)

Because we want to find 25% of the celery sticks, we can convert this percentage into the following fraction:

(25)/(100) =
(1)/(4)

Now multiply this reduced fraction by the number of celery sticks:

44 ×
(1)/(4) =
(44)/(4)

The fraction
(44)/(4) can be reduced to a value of 11. We have now proven that 11 celery sticks received peanut butter.

I hope this helps!
