I believe that this is the correct answer because the language used is formal and because it is polite. This indicates that she respects her boss. What is more, the stage directions state that she should talk to him/her showing confidence because of all the reasons mentioned (she waited for two years to finally ask, her work responsibilities increased). Sentence 2 and 4 are disrespectful and definitely not polite (she gives an order and she pounds the table). Finally, sentence 3 does not mention the raise.
