Hello!

You can use the Pythagorean Theorem

18.8 / 2 = 9.4

4.7^(2) + 9.4^(2) = c^(2)

square the numbers

22.09 + 88.36 = c^(2)

Add

110.45 = c^(2)

Take the square root of both sides

10.5 = c

The answer is A) 10.5

Hope this helps!

18.8 / 2 = 9.4

x^2 = 4.7^2 + 9.4^2
x^2 = 22.09 + 88.36
x^2 = 114.45
x = 10.5

answer
A. 10.5
