No, the earth’s axis is tilted. This is why we have seasons that are opposites between the north and South Pole.

Answer:

NO

Step-by-step explanation:

The earth rotates around an imaginary axis, which is known as the rotational axis and is tilted at an angle of 23.5°.

On the other hand, the plane of the orbit of the earth is usually defined as a plane which comprises the earth's orbital plane.

This axis of earth's rotation and the orbital plane of the earth are not parallel to each other. They are oriented at some angles to one another. Due to this tilt of the earth and orbital plane, there occur seasons on earth such as the summer, autumn, winter, and spring.

Thus, they are not parallel to each other.
