Geomorphology is the study of the nature and also the origin of the landforms and the processes like weathering and erosion. These processes shape the Earth's surface and provides sediments circulating in the rock cycle. Most fold mountains have sedimentary rock formed under high pressure and low temperature and thus causes erosion of folded sedimentary rock.
