The balanced equation is as follows
Ca(OH)2 + 2 HCl = CaCl2 + 2H2O
B) The limiting reagent is calculated as follows
by use of Avogadro law constant that is 1 moles = 6.02 x10^23 molecules find the moles of Ca(OH)2 used from 120.4 x10 ^22 molecules
= 120.4 x10^22/ 6.02 x10^23 = 2moles
the limiting reagent is therefore Hcl since it uses less moles
c) the mass of each product
mass = moles x molar mass
by use of mole ratio of HCl to CaCl2 ( 2:1 ) the moles of CaCl2 = 1.5/2 = 0.75 moles
mass of CaCl2 = 0.75 mol x111 g/mol = 83.24 grams
by use of moles ratio of HCl to H2O (2:2) the moles of H2O is also 1.5 moles
mass of H2O = 1.5moles x 18 g/mol = 27 grams
