Hopefully, you took note that Tina Jones needs assistance walking due to the pain from her infected foot wound. What goals would you set for Tina Jones’ impaired walking, and what evidence-based practice would you implement to help her achieve those objectives? How will you know if your intervention worked?

Note of Tina Jones needs assistance walking

Reservation in the free movement of ends can be a difficulty, not only for the patient but also for the healthcare team. The main objective is to help the patient for exercise and to provide a safe environment and aids to illustrate the use of flow devices like pilgrim and crutches. To fulfill the purposes in accomplishing the purpose.

The nurse should primarily help the patient in operating the inactive and active ROM exercises and to support patient in using crutches or walkers and provide a safe habitat by progressing sidetracks in the bed. If the intercessions work the patient should reveal she is yet performing the actions of daily living in spite of her condition.

The evidence-based practice that I would implement with Tina Jones are proper aseptic techniques in handling her infected foot wound, follow infection control protocols, continuous monitoring of her skin condition by documenting exudate and changes in skin condition. In addition, to know if the intervention worked if there is a positive change to the patient’s wound and skin.
