Let x = number of litres of 30% acid used
.12 x 14 + .3 x = .18( 14+x)

1.68 + .3x = 2.52 + .18x
.3x - .18x = 2.52 - 1.68
.12 x = .84
x = .84 /.12
= 7

Therefore 7 litres of 30% acid was mixed in.
