Faith mixes 14 liters of 12% acid solution with a 30% acid solution, which results in an 18% acid solution. let x epresent the number of liters of 30% acid solution used, and let y represent the number of liters of mixture. which system of equations can be used to find the number of liters of 30% acid solution in the mixture?

Let x = number of litres of 30% acid used
.12 x 14 + .3 x = .18( 14+x)

1.68 + .3x = 2.52 + .18x
.3x - .18x = 2.52 - 1.68
.12 x = .84
x = .84 /.12
= 7

Therefore 7 litres of 30% acid was mixed in.
