(2)/(3) {x}^(2) \: \: = \: \: 24 \\ \\ \: {x}^(2) \: \: = 24 \: * \: (3)/(2) \\ \\ \: {x}^(2) \: \: = \: \: 36 \\ \\ x = 6 \: \: or \: \: x = - 6 \: \: \: \: \\

Hence , smallest solution is -6
