three bags of potatoes and four cases of corn cost $40. Five bags of potatoes and two cases of corn cost $34. Find the cost of one bag of potatoes and the cost of one cases of corn. (show or explain the procedure used to obtain your answer.)

After you get the equations: 3x + 4y =40 and 5x + 2y =34, use matrices and plug it into the graphing calculator which will give you the answers for x and y.
X is going equal to 4
and y is going to equal 7
check:
3(4) + 4(7)= 40
5(4) + 2(7)= 34

btw... never knew this is college level mathematics ^_^
