Let the child's ticket be x.
Child's ticket = x
Adult's ticket = x + 1.75
Total cost = 3(x + 1.75) + 5x
Total cost = 3x + 5.25 + 5x
Total cost = 8x + 5.25
-----------------------------------
Answer: 8x + 5.25
