Write an equation of a line that passes through the point (2, 3) and is parallel to the line y = 3 over 2 x +5.

y = negative 2 over 3 x

y = negative 2 over 3 x − 7

y = 3 over 2 x

y = 3 over 2 x + 7

we have that

Write an equation of a line that passes through the point (2, 3) and is parallel to the line y = (3/2)x +5

parallel lines are the same slope
then
m=(3/2)

step 1

find the equation of a line with
m=3/2 and point (2,3)

y-y1=m*(x-x1)----------> y-3=(3/2)*(x-2)------> y=(3/2)x

the answer is
y=(3/2)x
y = 3 over 2 x
