The height is the measurement from the base to the top straight up.

The Slanted height is the height from base to top on one face of the pyramid.

Answer:

The height of a pyramid is the perpendicular height of the apex above the base. Apex is the pin point above the pyramid, where all the triangular faces join.

The slant height of a pyramid is defined as the distance measured along a lateral face of the pyramid from the base to the apex along the center of the face.

The slant height is found by using the Pythagorean theorem where the slant height is the hypotenuse of the right triangle.
