Answer: A - Coherence is ensuring that your paragraphs connect logically with your ideas. You do not want different ideas in the same paragraph.
The other choices are more grammar mechanics which are essential, but not coherence based.

Well, coherence means being logical, consistent, and forming a unified whole. Therefore, B, C, and D don't add anything to the coherence of an essay. Answer A, however, does. So, A is the answer. Hope this helps!
