Homeostasis is a self-regulating process which accounts for maintaining stability for the survival of an individual. The process through which stability is achieved is a dynamic process which continues until equilibrium is maintained. Through homeostatic regulations, all the processes of integration and function of balance (either mechanical, electrical, hormonal etc. ) are controlled and mediated.
