Hi there!

To factor this polynomial, we would have to divide the whole equation by 8.
8 is the Greatest Common Factor of 16, 40, and 24.

8(2s² + 5s + 3)
now factor it again

8(2s + 3)(s + 1)

So your answer is 8(2s + 3)(s + 1).
Hope this helped!
