two angles are complementary: x + y = 90 (complementary = 90 degrees)
x = 2y

plug in 2y for x

2y + y = 90
3y = 90
3y/3 = 90/3
y = 30

plug in 30 for y
x = 2y
x = 2(30)
x = 60

x (the largest angle) = 60°

hope this helps
