Since we already have the measurement of the adjacent side and we want to find the hypotenuse, we use the cosine to find our answer.

\cos( \alpha ) = (adjecent)/(hyptenuse)

\cos(24) = (11)/(x)

Therefore

x = (11)/( \cos(24) ) = 12.0
Hence, the length of x is about 12.0
