Since we already have the measurement of the adjacent side and we want to find the hypotenuse, we use the cosine to find our answer.


`\cos( \alpha ) = (adjecent)/(hyptenuse)`

`\cos(24) = (11)/(x)`

Therefore

`x = (11)/( \cos(24) ) = 12.0`
Hence, the length of x is about 12.0
